As our final hour on British soil approaches, the final checks are being made.
Passport. Check.
Japanese currency. Check.
Itinerary. Check.
Shoes. Check.
Indoor shoes. Check.
The list continues.
The nerves are slowly creeping in as we look forward to our two week cultural exchange. We expect to feel all of the emotions experienced by ours Japanese hosts when they visited us but look forward to meeting our old "new" friends once again.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those who have contributed to getting us to this point. All of those people who have volunteered their time, attended any event or just put their hands into their pockets. The students are forever grateful.
A particular mention should go The Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation and the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation. Both have been instrumental in our fundraising and have chosen to match some of our own fundraising. Their contributions have allowed us to purchase our flights and pay for various cultural activities (descriptions of which will follow). Thank you.
