From the thoughts of Anna,
"Today was theone many of us had been looking forward to most: the visit to the Mikawa nursery school. I don`t know if we have 19 budding nursery education specialistis with us but they really were in their element.
We made bookmarks with pressed flowers, each student being helped by a 5 or 6 year old student. After this, we were taught a couple of dances (we now know three which will be very useful for the summer festival on Saturday) and then performed ours. It went down a storm with the little ones, who then joined in enthusiastically with the bit we think is most accessible to dance with. We plan to revive One Direction`s fortunes from Japan.
After this, we had lunch prepared for us by some of the mums of the host families: summer vegetable tempura was prepared with vegetables picked from their own gardens this morning (aubergines, pumpkin and Japanese onion), followed beef or vegetable curry and rice (curry is as popular in Japan as it is in England!) and Takayuki - delicious little dumplings with sausage, octopus or cheese depending on your requirements."
